Before you can post either a youtube or google video you must get the document ID. Once you have the ID you can then post using the following inline vB Code.
YouTubeID, i.e., u4iS07TLrzI.
GoogleVideoID, i.e., 5245624839807682996.
That's all there is to it.
Happy posting

You need to have the URL of the quicktime movie then use the following code.
URL, i.e., http://www.flytheroad.com/video/VV_Howard2.mp4
That's all there is to it.

myID, i.e., 2833344-8e4.
That's all there is to it.

Timon,
I just tried posting a video to the forum, and I followed you instructions to the letter about a YOUTUBE video. But it does not work. Maybe I am doing something wrong? I don't know. If you can help with more specifics, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

LOL! Forget about it. I just screwed up! I realized that to post a youtube video, you must put the EXACT thing before and after the code.
A very easy application, but I managed to mess it up anyway! Well, thanks for this information. It is really very easy to post videos.

Hi all,
I've added another youtube display format this one is Hi Resolution. If Youtube has a hi resolution version this BBCode entry will display it.
IHcKoZ99Jnw
Note that some computers may not be able to handle the hi resolution version well as it does take more processor power. If there is a hi res version I suggest you post both as I did with this posting I did awhile back.
Standard Resolution

Timon,
Great information. Thank you.
I guess my computer must have a slow processor, although I thought it was fast. But I pressed on the high resolution link, and it took forever of me waiting, and still did not load. Then I pressed on the upper video, and it started immediately.
Oh, well, I guess it's time to get a new computer....with a FASTER processor!

For some reason, the youtube video in Ian's latest update is NOT showing up. I followed the letter of the rules on how to display it, but it just shows a blank box. Also, is there a way we can display the other videos in Ian's update? I would love it if we could allow all members to view the videos directly from the thread.
If anybody can help out, I would really aprreciate it! Thanks.

When you copied the youtube item ID you missed the leading "_". I also added the youtube version of the conference.

Does anybody know what the bbcode is for embedding yahoo videos in vbulletin forums? It seems this is the one thing we can't do, but we should be able to do.
Any help is appreciated.
