I thought it was time to make a very important announcement. This announcement may not come as "news" to some of you long timers here, but I thought it was time to make it "official" in this post.
This club is NOT "owned" by Derwin Beushausen. This club is not "owned" by any one individual. When I first started this club over 1 year ago, I started it with the idea of creating a place where all Persu Hybrid (V1 at the time!) enthusiasts can come and fellowship. A place where we can talk about hybrid technologies and new tech in regards to transportation and fuels. A unique place where people are united around their mutual love of this concept vehicle and other things.
Now, as we are into our second year of operation, I think we have implemented this "idea" into a real club that has met and even exceeded everything I hoped it would be.
As many of you know, I have always been clear about this club being YOUR club, and not belonging to any one individual or company. It belongs to YOU. The header of the club has these words in small print: "A private initiative of Derwin Beushausen". Well, it was indeed my "initiative" that got this all going over a year ago, but it is your continued support that has kept this thing going, and growing!
Initiative is one thing, but OWNERSHIP is quite another. I may indeed have initiated the creation of this club (with the help of many others), but I have never "owned" this club. The title of owner belongs solely to you.
How do we define "ownership" in this club? I think the best definition of ownership, as it relates to this club, is simply that you decide what goes on here at the club, and you decide what is said in its forums.
This is YOUR club. Take care of it. Take Pride in it. Take ownership of it.
