Once visited, could you make the homepage conditionally redirect to skip the intro?
Sorry, but in my 15+ years as a developer/consultant, splash screen have proven to be nothing more than an inconvenience to most visitors. I mean once you've seen it, there is no need to view it again - its not interactive, it doesn't change, and its really not that impressive.
Yes, I can bookmark some other page in the site, but I do not bookmark this site and I recently removed the pm site since there is no content that I haven't already seen.
Thanks for considering it (if you did).

Well, when you log into www.FlyTheRoadClub.com you can immediately SKIP the intro by pressing the skip button. It's very easy. Or, you can simply bookmark the home page of the club:

Hope that helps.

I understand the requirement to control/prevent SPAM, but what is with ESTABLISHED MEMBERS now having to have their posts 'approved' before they are posted? I just replied to a post, (and wanted to add something to it) but was shown a message that said my post cannot be viewed until it is approved. How long will that take? Will we have to wait around to 'edit' our posts, and do we have 1 hour to 'edit' them after we submitted them, or AFTER they are 'approved' and 'posted'?
I can see the value of 'approving' NEW Members's Posts, to weed out the spammers, but what is the 'logic' of having this impediment for members that have been here for over a year?
????????Now this post was shown immediately.........no 'approval message' displayed. It there some type of site maintenance going on????????
I just went back to the "Nissan is aiming for EV leadership" thread and tried a Re-Post; same message that my post would not be visible until 'approved' by a moderator, but this thread works FINE!!!!!!!!

Roger, Settle down, for heavens' sake!
This club is NOT moderating every post that a member makes. Not to MY knowledge, anyway. If a member posts something, it should show up IMMEDIATELY in the thread that they posted to. Nobody should have to be waiting around for posts to be "approved". If you are experiencing this, then there is definitely a problem somewhere.
I'll go and bring this up in the admin forum to see if anybody else knows whats going on.

Well, I just went into the admin area, and sure enough, you had 2 posts that were under "moderation". I have no idea why, though.
If somebody knows why Rogwilds posts were under moderation, please let us know. Thanks.

I sure don't see anything on that forum or under Rogwilds account that would make his posts moderated. Sometimes I think there are Gremlin's in the program that just screw with things for unknown reasons.
Rog can you duplicate this problem at this point and is it just the "Nissan is aiming for EV leadership" thread?
