Hello! I just finished the design of the club challenge coin.
You'll notice that I included a blank box in case people wanted to turn their coin into an item that can be tracked.
If you don't like it, please tell me. If you have better ideas for the front and/or back side of the coin, please post your ideas here. I need HONEST opinions and ideas. Don't worry about expressing yourself.
These coins will be ONE COLOR. The material will be BRASS and the plating will be BRONZE. It will have a 3-D look to it. And, the coins will be 2".
Again, please let me know what you think..

Fantastic! I'm glad to see everybody likes the design.
Now I need suggestions of what I should offer them for. What do you think? $5, $7? What should the price be per coin?

Any chance of making it a key chain as well?
$6.99?

Actually, that's a good idea! I found a company that offers something that converts your coin into a keychain. I'll have to ask the factory if they can customize these to fit our coins. I guess we can offer the keychain option for a buck or 2 additional.

I like the design.... only question I have is if Persue has changed the design any?
I think if you can hold the cost plus shipping under $7, that would be good.

When I last spoke with Ian (many months ago!), he told me that there may be a few "minor" changes in the design. But he reassured me that the main design structure would be the same, and should not look much different, if any, from what is shown above. This was when we were still working on the r/c project.
So even if the design does change slightly, I think this basic shape will still work good for our coins.
I'm thinking around $7 plus whatever first class shipping would be, is a good idea.

Well, I've been thinking about this coin thing again, and was wondering if anybody is still interested.
I just had some coins made for the Rocketbelt Society that I have, and they turned out pretty dang cool. Here's a pic of the front and back...

The FlyTheRoad Club coins should turn out even better if we decide to do this.
I know it's pretty difficult to get enthused about a product that is not even out yet. And that it's even harder for us who have been watching this thing progress at a snails pace for a couple years now.
So, before I go off and have a bunch of these coins made up, I thought I would get some input on it.....again.
What do you think? Is it even worth it at this point, or what?

I think it is pretty cool and even if the design changes big woop ... we can make another one and this one would be a limited edition coin.

I have just added a NEW POLL to this thread. Please take a moment to vote in this poll.
If we can get at least 50 people to commit to purchasing this coin, then we'll go forward with it. So now it's all up to you....the members of this club.
Here is the proposed design again....

Obviously a typo. Thanks for catching that!
It's fixed. I guess we can change your vote, and put you down for one now? ;)

Nice design, but with the with 'Rocket Belt' they had one that really FLEW. I'll change my vote when Persu demonstrates that they can build a vehicle that actually RUNS and TILTS!

So, Rog, I'm assuming from your post that you would like to reserve 2 coins? hy:per1)

I know, rog. I was saying that "tongue-in-cheek".
But, hey, these coins would be really cool looking if we get them made.
Like I said, I had a thousand rocketbelt coins made up, and just received them from the factory a few days ago. They turned out excellent.
But I do understand the reason for your hesitation in wanting to buy one.
Hopefully, Persu will get moving, and take all doubt away.

Well, when an admin of the club doesn't even want one of these things, then I guess it really is time to shut the idea down......for now.
Again, I'm way ahead of the curve, I guess, on this one. So we'll just wait and see what the Persu team does in the coming months, and then revisit this coin project.
Thanks for the input.

OK. I thought I would pull this thread up again about creating this Club Challenge Coin, which would also be a GeoCoin that could be used for tracking.
As some of you already know, I created a very nice coin for my Rocketbelt Society group, and its been a great success. But from the results of the poll in this thread, I can see that most of you were against minting a coin for this club.
Well, what about minting a club coin dedicated to our "open source" build project? We would have to change the design on the back half of the coin, but I think this could possibly be a good option, and may keep our excitement up for the actual project.
So, what you think? Please post your comments here.
Thanks.

BUMP!!!!!
Being Military I always carry at least one challenge coin in my wallet. I want 10!!!! Revise the design to reflect the new Persu Ventures and Persu V3 info and get um in the mail to me :)
I will tell you this much folks, when I am driving around in my V3 and I see another V3 rolling down the road, I am going to follow them and throw down my coin the first chance I get. Lord help that person if they are a FTRC member and does not have one of these if/when they get made ;)

I was going to say I'll hang it from the rear view mirror with the fuzzy dice.
Doh!

I'd be interested. Especially if you can keep it under $10 with shipping.
