Welcome to the club, Brooklyn! wel;co;m;e101))

Many people are asking that question, and there really is no "simple" answer for it! I, for one, believe that it WILL get to market, but maybe a bit later than we all would like or expect. The company has invested far too much money into this thing to just walk away from it, in my opinion.

I've been in contact with personnel with Persu, and they all assure me that they are still working on it, and will be bringing it to market "soon". Don't ask me to define soon, though!

As you may already know, they have officially entered into the Progressive X-Prize contest, so we should be seeing SOMETHING from them as a part of that.

Again, welcome to the club. If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me or another admin.

Well, I'd say we'll know more when the Progressive Automotive X-Prize rolls around... If they have something entered that looks production ready (full interior, functional windows, DOT lighting, etc...) it might be close to market availability. If they show up with a test mule, or something that looks like a soap box derby entrant, that might be an indication that the bottom has fallen out of the Persu hybrid production plan.

The date is very clear... December 22, 2012 :o
Just one day after the end of the world! thu:mbs:up:22

Whatever the date is, it can't come soon enough - If I could import a Carver One for mid $30's or less, I would do that right now! Untill then, I check this site weep a little and keep waiting...

I have used a logarithmic approach to regression analysis of the inherent difference between the reality of a new vehicle being launched into the US market. I coupled this with a few key identifiers in a mean square weighted deviation analysis, then threw in a secondary survivability analysis just to be sure. The results are pretty concrete with a standard deviation of about 7.35 days and a confidence of about 99%.

So in other words, its just another guess.

So, just wondering - is this ever going to happen? They never have anything on their website and i haven't seen anything about them in the news. I think it's a bad sign when you have a company that was fairly communicative with the community and then they basically go dead silent.

I'm asking because within the next year or so i'll probably be looking for a new car. If pursue is actually going to put something out, i'm happy to wait for it. but if they aren't, i'd like to know so i can start looking for something else instead of waiting for something that will never happen.

I mean they haven't even updated the copyright date on their website - it still says 2007..not even 2008...2007.

ask them. the last time I did, I received a polite, wordy, non-commital answer.

Merged both threads to keep like threads together.

Merk you might want to look at this thread (http://flytheroadclub.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1549)for some newer info .... though it was not directly released.

Plus most copy-write dates are from the origin of the copy-write and don't expire every year.

One way or the other I wouldn't hold my breath or wait for anyone to make something on a promise .... It will be there when and if it is there .... when it is there and ready to buy ... then it is there to buy... and in the mean time it is not.

The short version is .... Don't plan on buying anything that isn't yet for sale.

Truer words were never spoken!

Back in 2007, I was under the impression that I would be driving one of these things by now April of 2009. I bet you can tell I am very disappointed...to say the least.

I wasn't planning - more like i was holding off on planning to see if this became an option.

Frankly though, i dont think it will be an option. It seems very foolish to me for them to go from a pretty communicative company to dead silence. I'm not expecting a precise time line of events. Heck i'm not even asking for a timeline at all. Just some communication from them to indicate they aren't dead. I did email them and just like waltbscott i got a nice email that didn't tell me anything useful.

They have a whole group of people who haven't even driven the thing and are dying to get one. What reason is there not to at least post something every week or two just to let us know something is going forward? They have a whole group of people who want to give them money to buy one. It doesn't make any sense to me to keep us all in the dark and act like a corpse if they expect us to stick around and not move onto something else.

Do a google news search on venture 1, fly the road or persu mobility and you have a VERY short reading list - 0. Do a search on aptera and you have something to read. That says a lot to me. The aptera is starting to look more attractive to me because right now it seems alive.

I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm just hoping someone from pursu might actually read this and decide to prove to us we have something to wait for. Right now, i'm 95% convinced pursu/venture is dead and nothing will get produced. Because thats the only reason i can think of for them to be dead silent.

Anyone from pursu reading this? Please, prove me wrong. This is one instance where i would LOVE to be wrong.

I think If you want something like this car you need to go across the pond and buy one. This vehicle seems to be going no where

Unfortunately, nobody "across the pond" is building this vehicle. The Carver is not the Persu Hybrid, not by a long shot. But I get what your saying.... and I wouldn't mind owning a Carver right about now, if it weren't for the price. Pricetag: $50,000. No thanks!

Yep, that is an opinion. But as long as they exsist it isn't over...

If you check the tread here (http://www.flytheroadclub.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=1549) I try to, as time allows, check for new posts on the web for Persu Hybrid info.

and I agree with Derwin, I wouldn't pay $50k for a Carver or that matter any kind of vehicle. (plus the addtional fees to allow it to be registered in the US)

Yes, this can happen if the development team is passionette enough. Please look at this this website and read the details about the development team carefully.
http://www.optimalenergy.co.za/about_oe/
The leader of the development team was also one of the designers of an attack helicopter rated th best in world.
See this link

The point is : if the devlopment team is well selected and passioante enough, they can bring the Persu to the market- if not perhaps they should contnact the Joule team....
