In this thread I will be posting some very interesting technical information about the CarverOne. In this first post, you'll see that the steering on the CarverOne is not as "simple" as we may have thought. Actually, it seems quite complex.

Thanks, AZE, for figuring out the pdf embed. I appreciate it!

By the way, if some of you are unable to view the above pdf document, simply download it directly from here:

More detailed information will be posted in the coming days and weeks.

Hey Derwin,
Piece of cake ... I could even do it with tools I have for aligning the race car. In fact, I use exactly the same toe out measurement of 24' on the front of my car for better turn in.
I am a bit surprized they don't address bump steer ... perhaps in some other proceedure.

Thanks, interesting reading. Looking forward to the next tidbit.

Piece of cake? Wow! When I first looked at this, I thought it was a bit complex. But, hey, I'm not an engineer or mechanic!

Do you think we can replicate something like this in our club project vehicle?

Yes, not a problem. On the race car I use an optical system, lasers used to be more expensive. I also have a set of bars and strings which are just as acurate as long as you are precise in your measurements.

It looks like we are soon going to dismantle a damaged Carver completely. I will let you know about any progress. If anyone is interested in parts or requires more technical informations please let me know. We'll hopefully learn a lot from this Carver and I csn share informations with you.

Yeah. A complete video and pictorial writeup would be fantastic.
