Hello to all members!
As you can probably tell, we have a NEW club logo. I think this new logo represents everything we love about this vehicle, and we will be using this logo in many ways to provide more benefits and enjoyment to all members.I think we would like to offer to all members various club related items like coffee mugs, hats, shirts, etc. But I don't want to do this unless we have a consensus from all of you. So, if you can, please participate in this new poll about whether you would like to have club merchandise available. We are an "independent" club. The FlyTheRoad theme will ALWAYS be a GREAT theme to have for enthusiasts of this vehicle, whether it is tied "officially" to the company or not. I am sure when people watch the videos of the Carver, you can sense the feeling of "flying" the road. This is a big part of its identity, and will always be a part of this clubs identity.

When Venture Vehicles comes up with their new "brand", I am sure they will be offering logo merchandise with this new identity and logo on it. This is great, and I will be one of the first ones to purchase all that they have! But this is an independent club of enthusiasts, exactly like the Honda Element Owners Club, and clubs like it. They have their own identity and logo, as we now have and will continue to have.

We want everybody to enjoy this club as they would any other club. The new logo and the idea of club merchandise is intended to simply expand on this enjoyment. Thanks for your time, and again, thanks for being a valuable member of this amazing club.

Hello! It was brought to my attention by a fellow member that there are questions about where the money will go that is brought in from the sale of club merchandise. I just thought I would inform all members that as soon as the money reaches a certain level, that I will be making a "mad dash" to the bahamas!
:p

But seriously, folks, all of the funds that come in from whatever sales are made, will go toward the upkeep and expansion of this club. As you may already know, this forum software is NOT cheap, and there is an ongoing fee for the hosting of this site. The club logo was designed by a professional design agency which also cost a large sum of money. Also, I will be purchasing other software applications for this site that will benefit you as a member.

I have foot the bill for all of this up to this point, and I will continue to do so. But I was recently approached by a moderator with the idea of asking for "club dues" from members that would be willing to make a "donation". Well, I rejected that idea outright because I have established this site as a FREE site for all enthusiasts to enjoy. I also did not want to resort to being a "begger" on this club site. You will NEVER have to worry about paying any "membership dues" or anything else of that kind, no matter how big this club gets. This is a promise from me personally.

The idea of creating a nice logo that can then be professionally applied to club merchandise came along. I thought this would be the PERFECT way to pay for the ongoing club expenses, as well as provide the members with nice club products. It is a plus/plus for everybody.

Please VOTE in this POLL to let us know what you think about this idea. If you think it is a good idea, let us know. And, if you think it stinks, let us know that as well!

Throw up some unobtrusive google ads. I'll click through once or twice a week, and I'm sure others would as well. It may not pay for everything, but every little bit helps.
