... it's a sad state when there is so little movement on the forums. Specifically about anything having to do with our three wheeled passion.
I for one continue to look for viable fun filled options I can procure now. And I tell you there isn't a whole lot out there. And what is, might be interesting, but isn't quite close enough to what I'm looking for. That still seems to be the Persu.
What's a person to do. Nothing to drive, nothing to buy, and nothing to read. Sigh!

Hey jeremymc7........... if you are looking for something fun to drive and money is no object how about the high performance cabin motorcycle www.monotracer.com (http://www.monotracer.com) two wheels sometime four. The ultimate tilt with a 52 degree lean and coming soon as a Pure Electric version as the ETracer. It's hand built expensive now at $72k but there is a plan to mass produce this vehicle to bring the cost way down. It's not a beautiful design but a more functional design and the more I watch the video of it flying down the twisting highway the more beautiful it looks. Add that to your list of fun future 2 wheels sometimes four vehicles.

I kind of like the monotracer also, but that pricetag is simply outrageous for that vehicle, in my honest opinion.
I mean, for heavens sake, I can import a "real" fun vehicle...the Carver, for less money than that!
Actually, the only way I would purchase the monotracer is if it sold for under $20,000....And then I would have to think long and hard. But I think at the end of it all, I would buy it. But $72K....No Way!

Yes, they are very interesting. Performance is excellent. Cost is a bit high. My concern is the same as when Carver was around. Not much dealer support in the states. Which means that parts and service could be a nightmare, especially if the company goes over. Now they've been around around for a while but so was Carver. The other issue for me is that it rides / drives more like a conventional cycle which isn't ideal for me. The new all electric sounds more exciting to be sure.
Where did you find details on mass production and the coming EV option?

Hey Derwin.....I agree the price tag is ridiculously high but if you watched the video you have to admit it looks to have the fun factor of the Carver. My initial enthusiasm for Carver was to experience the lean of a cycle with the stability and safety of a three wheeler. With MonTracer you get the actual lean of a cycle with the stability and safety of a four wheeler when needed. They have just shipped the first few '09 MonTracers to the USA (Florida) and I hope to see one up close during my January winter getaway to that area.

jeremymc7........The engine and drive train components are BMW. I had an email discussion with a Peraves Rep awhile back and he told me of their plans to mass produce which would bring costs way down although still $30k range.
He also mentioned their X-Prize Competition entry of the Pure Electric version which they have been running successfully for over a year....The ETracer. The numbers he gave were 155 mph, 200 mile range, with a full recharge in as little as 20 minutes which I felt very acceptable. On a long trip I could recharge during coffee and lunch breaks. It will be fun to watch this vehicle. MonoTracer has been around about 10+ years as the EcoMobile and the technology and the vehicle look very reliable and trouble free. Hopefully, you looked at the specs and watched the movie on their website. I could drive one if they get that price down.
