Pacific Gas & Electric, the large Northern California utility, has signed a power purchase agreement with Finavera Renewables (http://www.finavera.com/en/wavetech) for 2 megawatts of electricity that will come from a wave farm, which Finavera will build 2.5 miles off the coast near California's Humboldt County.

Interesting 'green' concept. Maybe 'Teddie K' would approve of some of these off his seaside 'cottage' instead of the 'windmills'. But then again, one of these might break free and drift ashore and 'ding' his yacht.:p

Cool concept, but 2MW seems hardly worth the effort. Now if it was 2000MW, then I'd get excited. I think this is a good start though, need to begin somewhere. I just wonder what the life expediency is?
