I alluded to this in my other post about the HUD so this is my full suggestion on safety features.

This is the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VDIM

This is the Pre-Crash System: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precras...#Mercedes-Benz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precrash_system#Mercedes-Benz)

This is a video of it on a Lexus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phyi213kTAQ&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ebing%2Ecom%2Fvideos%2Fsear ch%3Fq%3D%2BPrecrash%2Bsystem%26qs%3Dn%26docid%3D1 100509741277%26mid%3DD99BCC5ED4A0CB9CB482D99BCC5ED 4A0CB9CB482%26FORM%3D&feature=player_embedded

This is the lane departure warning System: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_departure_warning_system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane_departure_warning_system)

Here's a video of it from Volvo: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=lane+departure+warning+system&qs=AS&docid=1090895938139&mid=E187B3616920DD57AF3BE187B3616920DD57AF3B&FORM=VIVR#

I don't expect these on the first model, but maybe in future models this may be something to consider especially because people looking into this may think it is unsafe because of its size. These possible safety features could convince those possible customers. All this along with the standard features would be more than enough to convince even the most sceptical critics.

Great Ideas!

I just moved this thread to the appropriate forum where we have been discussing the Persu Hybrid "Wish List" of items.
