Virtual Cable™ (http://www.mvs.net/)

Our invention, called Virtual Cable™ is a unique display for a car navigation system. The driver sees the Virtual Cable™ image through the windshield. It appears as if suspended over the road, similar to a trolley cable. The image is in true 3D and appears to be a natural part of the landscape. The driver uses only peripheral vision to follow the Virtual Cable™.

Love, love, love it!=y:=y:=y:

For anyone who won't ask for directions, or won't read maps, or won't read, period!

Just follow the curve.:RADAR:

Of course, it will be more like a ziggy on regular streets.

I can see this being a good thing. Not just for the ordinary Joe, but maybe a race car driver. I'm talking somebody who does the races like in Australlia, I can't remember the name though. Hey Randi, my dad refusus to get glasses, and he really can't read a map, but he wants me to teach him to use his cell phone, he surely won't be able to tell the GPS where he wants to go.. The only option for him is the gas stations... Too bad dad, but no V1 for you. (or any GPS enabled device)

That would be cool and easier for those who cannot follow directions they could just follow the Red line. They would need to keep their eyes on the road also.:eek:

:IDEA: Somewhat like the Wizzard of Oz, follow the yellow brick road, but it's not yellow, how about red? And it's not a road, how about a line.. Same concept though.
