Hi guys,

Is the E50 a plug in hybrid? I thought it was until I read some news report that said Venture would first make a hybrid and EV vehicle and than release a plug in later. I could have swore I read that the E50 could be recharged.

Thanks.

Well, the Propulsion page (http://www.flytheroad.com/propulsion.html) doesn't exactly say it will be a PHEV. But it does show he plug in the Hybrid graphic.

Do you think you can track down the news article?

Hi Mark,

I'm a teacher and was showing the kids my dream car. I couldn't get the you-tube video to work, so I googled trying to find a picture of the V1 tilted over. I found the picure here
http://www.inhabitat.com/2007/11/13/transportation-tuesday-the-ventureone/ and later read the article. While I was trying to find this again every other web site I found specifically says that the E50 will be a plug in, so I'm feeling much better.

I just discovered the V1 this weekend and I'm going crazy. I've been dreaming about this car for years. I would have bought it without the tilt feature. That just put the icing on it. Since I live in Orange Co. about an hour south of LA I hope I can be one of the lucky 4000 that gets one of these.

Thanks for your help.

The tilted 'vehicle' in the picture is a Carver One (Venture Vehicles' 'test bed'), built with a gas engine; but the 'tilt' technology is licensed by Vv and will be used in their PHEV & EV, V1 or 'Vhatever it is called'.
