Lack of updates and carver going under has greatly diminished my hopes. Has anyone seen or heard any signs of life from the Persu team? The Pursu website even cleared out the news section to hide the fact they aren't updating. This is really disheartening and makes me wonder if I should still be saving to buy one.

I will remain optimistic about Persu until there is an actual announcement one way or the other. I recommend to keep saving for the ultimate fly the road driving machine. Sooner or later someone is going to get a similar vehicle to the market place.

As rickb has stated, you may as well keep saving your money, even if it ends up being for another vehicle. Heck, you can't go wrong there.
But don't give up hope just yet on the Persu Hybrid. I would say to give them at least until the entrant vehicles are being displayed for the XPrize. If Persu is a no show, then I think we have to begin worrying a bit.
So, Mr. J. Curious, I would "keep hope alive", at least for the time being.
By the way, welcome to the club! wel;co;m;e101))

Well i officially gave up hope a few weeks ago when i went and bought a new car. Frankly the only reason i can think for them to have been this completely quite all this time is because they have nothing good to report. aka they are dead. I just wish they would have been a little bit more open with all the people that were waiting and looking forward to this and kept us informed.
keeping silent like this does them no good, since even if they aren't dead i'm sure i'm not the only person who was waiting to buy a venture and gave up and bought something else.

Well, merk, I completely understand your disappointment in the silence and lack of updates by Persu. But they just appointed an individual from Detroit who was a leader in the auto industry. He has now closed the lid on all communication until they are ready to communicate.
Do I agree with this position they have taken for the past year? Absolutely not. But it is what it is, and I am still going to hold out hope that this amazing vehicle reaches the marketplace.
Actually, they are active participants in the XPrize Contest, and will be presenting something there. So I guess we'll see what happens when all of the contestants present their vehicles at that time.
As it is now, the Persu Hybrid wasn't expected out for at least 3 years anyway, so if anybody needs transportation NOW, they better get it!
I, for one, went out and bought a Piaggio MP3 500 so I can "FLYTHEROAD" while I'm waiting for the Persu Hybrid. dr:ive1)

agr:1Derwin, you summed it up perfectly in your reply to merk. I too, know that circumstance of "if you gotta, then chew those sour grapes with a straight face"! And, since PM is in X-Prize contention, hope is very much alive still, even though we must look further out than we would wish:( FLY THE ROAD, BIG D!

I suggest you don't officially give up hope until you here the "official" news. I believe it will happen later than sooner at least untill a Persu Official makes some contrary announcement. It's a good move to buy another vehicle now because by the time the Persu Hybrid hits the market it may well be worn out and you will be ready to replace it. Keep the interest because someone will eventually get a tilting vehicle to market.
