So, which would you prefer in your driveway? Or your commute? Or blowing through the twisties at 45 degrees?
We'd like to get your "one letter" vote on this. We don't need to know why you prefer one over the other here, but if you feel you have to, please be brief.
Please use the images below for reference:

Thanks!

Ian has posted this over on the FTR site and we thought we would put this up here as well. You can vote only once and your name is kept private.
Thanks,

Since very many on the other list liked the "D" nose on the "C" body (should be a 'minor' design change); perhaps that should also be an option. But if you want to keep it just like Ian proposed, I understand. Currently I'd go with "C", but would also like the "D" nose on it.

I think at this stage there are way too many options that could be considered. Let's go with the base C vs D like Ian requested and at another point we can start on improvements / modifications to the design.

I like D, but I also like the larger windows with design C. But the front end of D seems to be far better IMO. Heck, I'll take either one!

I count 21 votes for D, 8 votes for C, and 11 votes for D's front with C's behind.
Expressed plainly, 80% of voters seem to prefer the business end of D, while 48% love C for her body.
The larger windows on C make a big difference perceptually, but believe it or not, the elbow room is identical in both models by design. As far as headroom, incline the front seat a couple o' 3 degrees on “D”, and the difference between the two vanishes.

Hi Doc3osh. Thanks. I've also been counting the so-called "CXD" separately, since it gives us something else to consider. I've also divided the individual tallies into the total number of votes to get percentages.
Straight C = X%
Straight D = Y%
C w/D front = Z%
All variants of C = X+Z%
Prefer D's front (marque) = Y+Z%

Somehow I feel neither of these designs do much to excite me. Compared to the picture of the original idea on flytheroad.com these look more like motorcycles with covers than the original design.
It lacks the style. The larger wheel sizes of the concept look far superior to the offered designs to begin with. This look of a 2 piece body, from the rear it is very unattractive in my view.
While I was really looking at owning one of these I have reconsidered if the final product looks like the offers of C and D. If I am paying upwards of 25 grand for a smallish vehicle of this type the style is the only thing that will make it appealing, and thse two offerings seems very compromised.

depley,
Hello, and WELCOME to our little club!
I agree with you......I really liked the "original" version in the drawing on the home page of the company site. I guess when it came to actually building this thing, they needed to make changes to that design.
But the "2-piece body" that you mention has ALWAYS been a part of the design. This is the way this vehicle is powered, and how it tilts. If you haven't done so already, please check out our forums where you will be able to watch many VIDEOS of the Carver in motion. This is the vehicle that the V1 is based on.
Again, welcome to our motley crew of enthusiasts, and please enjoy yourself as a member of this club.

depley, at first I felt the same way. Then I stepped back and thought why I first started looking at it in the first place. I decided to look for a "green" vehicle, not so much a stylish or sporty vehicle....but I found one that covered all three. The VV, whether the original or C or D, is still the most affordable/stylish/fun vehicle out there IMO. I can't afford a Tesla and I don't want a cookie cutter car just because it's affordable. The Aptera doesn't look like it would survive some of the Montana roads and the XR3 is more work and time consuming than I can afford.
Anyway, I rambled enough. I vote for the D. I, like others, prefer the nose and don't mind the smaller windows. I have a few minor changes I'd like to see, but I'll save it for another thread.

Well, whaddaya know...
I've been a fan of the 'C', but now that I've had a chance to look at the foam models, I've changed my mind. The 'C' is now looking to... bird-like or insect-ish.
D it is...

I have to agree with WATTGAS. I like D better in the foam form with the exception of the glass. I still like C's side windows better.

So you know, we have gone back to our design partner, reviewed the feedback and comments with them and have asked them to provide us with further design refinements to both the "C" and "D" versions, based on all of the feedback we're getting. We received some excellent ideas, and we want to be sure that we give the designers an opportunity to at least see if they can incorporate some of those ideas before our final down-select.
So stay tuned for a new Poll sometime in February- and we will see how C & D refined versions come along.
The Current poll is officially closed.
Our plan is to receive revised "C" and "D" design renderings by February 1st. Once we've had a chance to review them internally, we'll post them on the Forum -- as well as go back to our "pre-registered" and consumers that participated in our consumer testing last month -- and let them take one last look before we make our final decision. It's a bit of an unplanned, extra step... but we don't want to leave any stone unturned before making our final decision.

D is my choice

D!! But I would like to see a more "Carver" end of the main body. Currently it looks like the body is pulling the "2 wheel motor body". The Carver "hinges" sort of on this 2 wheel motor body so it looks more like one machine. Hope this makes sense...otherwise: perfect!

Well Marcel the style direction has already been chosen, however you bring up an interesting thought. I never looked at it that way.

I think the "D" looks great just like it is.
