View Full Version : Questions about the V1
Does anyone know the maximum height and weight of the occupants that would fit into a V1? Would a heavy crosswind at 40mph effect the handling of the V1? Would the V1 have a sunroof or windows that open ie.say to pay a toll. I think the rear lights need to be running horizontal to the spolier (more radical led's in a slim like light)than the "vw bug"looking lights. I pilot a Pulse which was built in 1986.It was a radical concept enclosed motorcycle. It has a cockpit and tandem seating like the V1 but instead of tilting,it has two outriggers that steady it in turning. We are talking 20 yrs ago without the technology that the V1 will have. There have been a lot of concepts that never made it thru the process ie.GM lean machine.I wish Ian all the luck in his creation of the V1.

The quick answer is 'NO", it hasn't been built nor tested yet. Still in the design phase. But Ian has said that it will be designed to fit two normal (?5'-6'+?) people. Weight and body type is a very difficult question. I don't know what the GVWR will be be, but some overweight people may find it OK to 'squeeze' into a narrow rear seat around a 'tilted forward' driver's seat, while other's may find the area to 'tight' to be comfortable. A test drive will probably be the only true answer.

walt I believe rog is right as to the weight. I know ian said that there would be room for people 6'5"+ but the weight has not been determined! Also, as for cross winds I would assume that it would be a better then your average motorcycle yet a bit harsher then a VW golf.
