Walt (http://www.flytheroadclub.com/forums/member.php?u=217) Had asked about delivering vehicles to dealers - I came across this old post from Ian Posted: 2007-03-02on the FTR site

LostRipper: Did someone mention delivery?
As we envision it now, the vehicles are shipped as "blanks" to dealers. The blanks are fully functional, but lack the exterior body panels, optional trim, installed accessory kits, etc. This means that the final integration is done at the dealers, on a customer-by-customer basis.

That sounds GREAT (if they can do it). All vehicles should be 'pre-wired' (and maybe 'pre-drilled'), so it should essentially be a 'snap-together' upgrade path. Should make driver 'DIY' and after market producers happy.

You buy a "blank" and box of panels that you must mount yourself.

Voila, kit-car :D

When Ian put that out the width of the V was going to be 40" but it looks like it's now closer to 48". If that's the case it's not going to fit unless they use a wider trailer but then they'll have to mark it with "Wide Load" signs.
