(Warning Rant)
I have been following Persu Mobility formerly known as Venture Vehicles since Nov.2006 a full five months before they even had their own website. You see I had already been a big fan of the Carver One and was doing research on the vehicle to find out exactly when it would hit the states and I came upon an article that mentioned an American company known as Venture Vehicles to develop a similar vehicle that would be a hybrid electric that would get 100mpg and still perform better then the Carver! Well, naturally I was hooked and became an instant enthusiast! When they launched their website and forum I was overwhelmed to find out that I was not the only person excited and enthusiastic about this dream vehicle. I began to meet (through the forum) many other like minded people who could not wait for this vehicle to be brought to life! One of those people was a man with a vision named Ian Bruce the other was a man named Howard Levine. These two individuals who were Co-founders of Venture Vehicles, and they spoke with enthusiasm about the "Venture One"! Now this company has been bought out by investors and since that time the name changed to something less then exciting and the flow of information went from daily comments to no response at all for over a year! Now, These investors claim to be "enthusiasts" about the Persu but we never hear anything from them! I don't know about the rest of you but when I am excited about something I tell people about it, I talk about it all the time and I enjoy talking to people who are just as enthusiastic about it as I am! Even if there is nothing new to talk about I am still talking about it! I myself went several months talking about the Persu without a single piece of new information! Still the companies investors stay quite! HOW?
( end of Rant)
Here is my proposal:
1.) a head official join and participate in this forum! weekly at minimum! Comments can consist of "we met with some potential investors" to " still refining aspects of the vehicle" you can even discuss your personal thought on other vehicles!
2.) make monthly announcements concerning updates like what colors you have settled on for the vehicle when it finally roles out!
3.) Take whatever moneys you have and build a prototype!!!!!!!!!! Quit messing around! you should have had a working prototype by now! If I was an investor I would not give you a dime if you didn't have a working prototype after all the money you had!
4.) Starting treating the people who are Persu enthusiasts as potential customers not as throw away commodities! Many of the founding members played a huge roll in how the vehicle looks and also helped come up with many ideas that will make the vehicle more user friendly! As investors you should keep that in mind!

Now if anyone at Persu Mobility considers themselves as enthusiasts, I challenge them to respond and take up the banner for your company!

Here, here

When I found VV a few years ago I discovered the vehicle I have always wanted but didn't know I wanted. It was love at first sight. I was soooo excited by it.

Now I'm left with one of two possibilities. Either Persue is doing exactly what they say they are doing and when this thing hits the road it will be everything we hope it will be (no evidence to suggest this is true). OR, they are what many people on here fear, a bunch of scam artists trying to make a buck without ever building a thing (once again, no evidence to suggest this is NOT the case). I personally don't see much middle ground. If Persue would take to heart even some of the suggestions you make MM89 would help me lean toward the former. The continued black hole (not even light comes out) that is Persue makes me believe the later is true. It truly saddens me.

Brian.........pretty much my story in finding the Carver One in 2006 and happening across Venture One shortly after. I like your proposal but don't think there is anybody at PM to respond and the only real enthusiasm at VV and PM was for venture capital. The visionaries and the two guys that were passionate about developing a tilting three wheeler concept were VandenBrink and Kroonen in building the Carver One. Those kind of people get things done. Ian & Howard are probably both Carver One owners so they are enthusiasts only in that regard. If I had the millions in venture capital generated from their "Plan" I too would be driving a Carver One (with no real need for a Persu Hybrid) and not be quite as disappointed and bitter about their total lack of follow thru. Apologies for the negativity.

I hope there is response to your proposal and welcome back to the discussion.

Brian, Good to hear from you again. I hope all things are well with you, your daughter and your life in general. Did you finally make the move back to Illinois? If so, we have to get together for a round of golf sometime.

You didn't have to put up that disclaimer at the end because I wholeheartedly agree with what you've said in your post! We have been enthusiastically supporting Persu since the very beginning, and they really should pay a bit more attention to those that have been with them from day one. And, hey, there have been many that have completely lost any enthusiasm for Persu, and have chosen to "move on" and simply go away. They have a bad taste and even a "hatred" for Persu after what has transpired this past year and a half. But there is still a small remnant of us that are holding down the fort and trying to keep the dream (our dream) alive.

Last I spoke with Persu it just didn't sound promising. I hope things get better. And if this was all a "money scam" to simply make a few bucks off a project that they never intended on making, then that would be a travesty. I do not believe that, but as I've said so often.... time will certainly tell.

Good to hear from you, Brian. Please stick around and post more often, even if it's just about whatever projects you may be working on at the current time!

Derwin.............after reading your comments I discover that I have lost enthusiasm and respect for PM and should move on. However, I am enthusiastic about a tilting three wheeler concept and hope somebody will get one into production status soon. I hope to find out about it on the FTRC website..................so I hang around and appreciate the information. With that said it is a Club dedicated to the Persu Hybrid.

Could not have said it any better myself. M89 you are a person of reason and thank you for telling out loud what most of us wanted to say. :)

Well, rick, if you have been here for any amount of time at all (and I know you have!), then you know that I speak my mind, and I am certainly not afraid to share my feeling with the members of this club. That said, I have decided to not go the "negative route" in regards to Persu, thought that was NOT always the case! I had my rants last year that went beyond just negativity and went right into Persu bashing! But I just don't want to do that anymore. As I've said a dozen times in the past.... either they come out with this dang vehicle or they don't. If this was a scam, then it's a damn shame, but I have not reached that conclusion just yet.

As for this club being "dedicated to Persu Hybrid enthusiasts".... that's true. But, hey....look around..... do you see many "enthusiasts" left? Not many. Actually, probably none, not even me. But I hold on to this dream because I know that some day some company will develop this vehicle, and I want to be here when it does. At that time we will be a club dedicated to whatever vehicle that happens to be. Hopefully it will be the Persu Hybrid.

The 4 points of Miracleman89's proposal must have been just to overwhelming for a PM officials/enthusiast response with all the other PR work going on. I noticed Ian browsing the website. It's too bad he doesn't take the time to provide his perspective on the Persu Hybrid or for that matter a non-Persu comment. I would be curious to know how many miles on his CarverOne and have they been reliable, trouble free miles.

I would imagine he is legally restrained from comment. I too would like to know what happen to the Carvers Ian brought into the country.

So Derwin, I gotta ask, when was the last time you had any 2 way communication with anyone from PM? Surely they are aware of the frustration building among the masses here.

Anyhoo, count me as one who thinks the investors who bought VV don't have a true visionary capable of seeing this thing to fuition. Couple that with the economic downturn at a VERY crucial time, and well..... I think PM is DOA. Just my 2 cents.

Propose what ever you like. You are talking to a wall. I am now convinced that the only thing that is real are the dreams that we have for a vehicle that will suit our needs.

Persu is dead. They are pretty much all dead. There is virtually nothing out there that is real. They are all just various dreams. I looked at all of the vehicles participating in the X-Prize contests and there were only two that I would even consider, if they ever did actually build and offer them for sale. The Montracer was one, and it will never come here. Not to mention that it costs WAY too much anyway. The eVaro was the only other one and it is just a wild dream too. The rest of them were either just plain crap, unsuitable for my needs, or just BUTT UGLY! Maybe all of the above.

I've decided that the Peugeot Concept LiiON is the BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! And that was nothing more than a dream from day one. If I ever get something like the LiiON, I will have to design and build it myself! I don't have the time or resources to pull that off. So, I'm just going to keep looking at the pictures and realize that a DREAM is all there is ever going to be.

I am tired of waiting on all of those idiots!

Well, I spoke with Phil Oseas a while back, actually on March 30 of this year. The conversation was very short, and he did not have anything new to say about their progress except to say that they are still looking for investment funds for the company/project. And, yes, they are very aware that the frustration level is at an all high, but there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. The call lasted a total of 2 or 3 minutes, and was void of any real content.

I am tired of waiting on all of those idiots!

I have to say that I understand and agree with those sentiments, and actually with your entire post, Jack. I am also incredibly tired of waiting to hear "good news" from Persu, or any other company. I am truly tired of looking at "concept vehicles" that will never be produced.

Dang, I really believed that Venture/Persu would get this thing done. Now even this seems to have turned into a "pipe dream" that may never become reality. o:h"we"ll1

Hey Jack Willard.....................I'm glad you mentioned my personal favorite the MonoTracer. There were 2 MonTracers shipped to Florida so they are flying the road in the US. Also, a Monotracer rep emailed some photos of their staff retrofitting the MonoTracer to ETracer with The Electric drive train. The Peraves team is passionate about their vehicle.........beyond enthusiasm. He did say there was a plan on the table to mass produce the vehicle if the economy straightens out making it affordable to many more drivers. The Swiss are cautious investors. If they win their X Prize category perhaps people will become more aware of the MonoTracer and ETracer. However, at least it is a production vehicle with millions of logged miles proving its reliability just to expensive. The Liion is one very appealing concept.

A "pipe dream" has a chance of becoming a reality.

Hmmm- I have been following the Carver/VentureVehicle/Persu for awhile as well, and occassionally pop into here just see if there is anything new. Sadly, the truth is they may not make it to commercialization- even Carver went belly-up last year, so that should tell you just how hard it is to make money in the automotive industry. Scam? No- I have seen this word raised on other sites for other slow-to-market items, and, for the most part, is just frustration looking for explanation. Unfortunately, the truth is genererally much more bland- new tech is hard- raising money is hard- doing all this in an industry that is very capital-intensive is EXTREMELY hard- look at the slew of start-up EV companies that are struggling. Persu will have to have a lot of things fall right for them to get this car to market, and it just may not happen.

Now- that said, I am not negative about this at all. This car would be my number one choice for my daily commute, bar none. Just watching the videos of the Carver and envisioning what the Persu would be like has been a very pleasant exercise in imagination! So- while I am realistic about their chances, I still hold out hope, and will just keep an eye out- who knows- perhaps this technology will reach the market at a time and in a way not yet seen.

Don't be discouraged, my fellow Persu Enthusiasts! The Persu may only be a dream at this time, but at least it is a fun dream;-)

Do I hear (with my eyes) someone grousing about not getting any new info on our dream. I've been a watcher and very very minor commentor of The Club a looooong time. The enthusiasmreally went down hill from we can't wait to why wait. Well could a group of big oil or auto invest have seen a really threatenig new economically operated vehicle on the horizon and decided to quash it?????? Think about it. All the rest of the three wheeld type vehicles and motorcycles just didn't project the fun side of driving that the Venture one did. The "flying the road" concept hooked me to staying the distance in hope the ddream would come alive.
And I ain't going to drop out now!!!!!!! Just like Orvil said to Wilbur -"this dang thing will fly one day."dr:ive1)
