For those who grew up watching SPEED RACER as a child, this is gonna be a fun movie! Speed and his Mach 5 were always getting into trouble. And I always loved his monkey! I remember as a very young boy watching speed racer....this had to be back in the 1960's....I'm guessing. It brings back some fond memories. I had no idea they made a movie from that cartoon. Thanks for posting it.

I loved that cartoon as a kid. I remember wanting to be a race car driver because of that show. I'd be interested to see it for no reason other than the format. It looks like a melding of cartoon with live action. The Wachowski brothers should make it interesting to look at, even if the story turns out to be weak.

MVRacing....I know! When I was watching it as a kid, all I can remember is that is was so exciting and thrilling, and filled with adventure. I think I caught it a few years ago, and it really seemed like a different cartoon. It's amazing how we see things so differently as children!

Hey, I remember the cartoon speed racer and I think the premise for making it into a real movie is great but the movie in the preview looks hokey! Kinda reminds me of the movie street fighter or double dragon although double dragon had Alyssa Milano in it which made it a 100 times better! =D Maybe if they put Alyssa in the Speed movie it wouldn't look so hokey! ;)

Seen Johnny Quest lately? That's another one I grew up on that is just a laugh now.

It seems like so many movies look like video games these days. The age-old question arises: which came first, the chicken or the egg? Do movies inspire video games or vice-versa? Or as Yogurt said in Spaceballs "Merchandising...where the real money from the movie is made."

 I just watched Spaceballs with Mel Brooks the other day. That show is really a laugh-riot. Well, anything that Mel Brooks does is simply hilarious.
