I was so jazzed by the VentureOne's debut on the "Today" show, that I gathered a few pix I downloaded from the FlyTheRoad site and made the first (of many) VentureOne posters.

Now I've got something to inspire me on my office wall! ;)

I'm going to make a few more, as newer renderings become available.

Nice work!;) How about 'converting' it to a computer 'wallpaper', that way all us fanatics could use it?..........Pretty Please!:RADAR:

Gladly! I created the file at work, though, so I'll put up the digital version tomorrow. :)

The nice thing about working for a printer is the ability to use the high-end wide-format inkjet printer to create posters! This one made one heckuva quality control test. ;)

LOL Celtic ... need to run any more tests? I think I see a fuzzy spot ;)
Very nice looking work!

Thanks! I'm very happy with the way this poster came out, and I didn't even do much, other than cut and paste a few pix. I'll bring the digital file home tomorrow and see if I can spruce it up a bit on my Mac. I just wanted to have something on paper. Enter Adobe Creative Suite 3...

Hey, maybe Ian and company will hire my company to print their sales literature! Whoever created their renderings did a great job. I'd love to play a part in marketing their endeavors.

Hear that, Ian? ;)

CelticFlyer,

I just purchased an Epson Stylus Pro 4800. This thing is a wide format printer x10!! It is really a huge beast! I may just make myself a poster. Thanks for the idea. I really like the poster you made....Cool!

Thanks, guys. Yeah, the Epson 10600 is a pretty cool unit, even though it's starting to show it's age. It can still output posters that are 40" wide and at least 96" in length.

And as far as a discount goes, I'd be happy to work something out. ;) No, really. I'd just be happy to be part of the process of making this project a reality!

Lookin' good Celtic! Uhhh, how big are the ink cartridges for that Epson beastie? Are they a pint each? or are there just 10 of the regular size in there? :-)

CelticFlyer

Funny you should ask. The cartridges measure about 12" x 8" x 1". There are at least six colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, Light Cyan and Light Magenta. We print on Kodak Matchprint paper. Durable stuff. We use this printer to generate high-resolution proofs which have been calibrated to match our press sheets closely. It's good enough for the customer to sign-off on!

Here's the digital version, sans border. It's now adorning my Mac at work! ;)

Thanks CF; got a new 'background' to look at. The original was a bit small, I 'scaled' it up to 1280 x 1040, but it came out a bit 'fuzzy'; but much better than my old one, though.

Ok, here's why mine HAS to be yellow....

CelticFlyer

Gotcha. That's cool. Matched set. Hey, maybe we could get a watch company to offer a free yellow timepiece with every yellow V1 that goes out the door. Like VW offered TREK bikes a while ago, eh?

What a great marketing tie-in.

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a new watch? lol

Yeah, right!

Cpaddock is suggesting what I myself have done: coordinated my gear with my car.

I am not a graphic artist in any way, but would someone mind making a dark metalic purple V1 picture for me? I saw the yellow one and was wondering if someone could do that in purple. I would like to see what that looks like. I am thinking that no matter what color is stock, I will end up having it painted. Also, some dark tinted windows would be nice too! Thanks in advance if someone does this and posts it. I guess I could try to learn how to do it though. Oh well, it's just a thought.

Glad you like it. I tried a number of lighting effects, but none captured the color and "shine" as good as the one you see above.

Soon, I'm going to have to incorporate the subtle changes to the V1 I've noticed on the FTR website's splash page!

How about lime green.

My rods and cones melted mixing this one!

I took a look at the purple one yesterday at work. It looked a little lighter and off color there. I wonder if you guys are seeing what I'm seeing here. :o

Oh well, at least you get a rough idea of what you want! ;)

Emoticon overuse penalty: 2 point demerit :eek::p

Celtic, the purple version is gorgeous, deep and rich. You are right, your rods and cones
probably took a beating on the lime green and haven't returned to normal yet.:) I had a purple Austin America back in the day. Painted it myself with rattle cans!!!
Here's another one for you....there's this awsome Harley I keep seeing at work that is the deepest electric ultramarine blue.....can you use the same lighting as the purple puppy and add the turtle wax? BTW, we need your expertise on the RC project. Hope you'll sign up. Took the wife out for our first top-down sunset cruise in the "new" Miata.
Got chased by a pickup till we got to the curves....oh yeah!
Curves ahead!

Hey CF, good job on the photoshop work! I actually like the green, but it would need to be "tricked-up" a little bit to make it perfect. For one, I would plaster the club logo all around it! I have photoshop, and I still have not learned how to do that.

Hey, thanks guys. I'm glad you enjoy my mad scientist experimentation! =D

Cpaddock, I tried a couple of different filters, but I still cannot manage to get the color you described. I'll give it a shot again later. I LOVE a challenge!

That bright green one really reminded me of the Mopar color, "Sublime" that was on 'Cudas and Challengers of the early 70's. And the purple is a lot like their "Plum Crazy." Talk about "high-impact colors," eh?

In answer to your question, cpaddock, I do want to do whatever I can for the RC V1 project. I'd like to create the packaging and/or operator's manual. I've got experience writing copy and well, I'm gettin' better with my computerized line drawings. ;)

Mr. Honorable and wise flyer..King of all that is visual and three dimensional..
submitted for you a "fishy" consideration.
If you have some slack time, (Sure!!!) might it be possible to Wrap the V1 in this shark? I'm not so concerned with the tail but I'd like to see what it would look like to have the nose continue around the front? Of course shading would be extra.... IF not...no problem... I'm just getting tired of photo after photo of gorgeous shiny, 3D Venture vehicles.. I want an UGLY MEAN one...
I did however love the chrome and black versions ;)

John

Holy spraypaint, CelticFlyer! You should probably charge for everybody's custom dream machines. But first, can I have one in "fire-engine red"? You know, it's the firefighter thing in me.... ;)
