I've been a fan of the Vandenbrink Carver ever since I saw it on TopGear. I got the chance to sit in one at the UK Motor Show a few years ago and I've been following the Bath University project which was creating a similar vehicle - although the project appears to have stalled...

The Ventura looks amazing - I really hope these go into production :)

So how far along is this project? Will it ever get built? ...it's simply stunning and I'd ditch my motorcycle to have one :)

Hi pondlife. Welcome and thanks for the pix.... especially the Carver Concept pic. Very nice, They should build that one for sure, it's more V-1 like :-)

The design direction has been decided, although it is still being tweaked. The Alpha prototype is in the process of being built. This will encompass the new frame and the hybrid powertrain. It should be finished by summer.

The last "official" projection for 1st production release of the V-1 is 2nd quarter 2009, but smart money would add a year to that to realistically be able to buy a V-1 outside of California.
