This poll is just something I was curious about. Thanks for posting!

At the rate diesel is going up - by next year I'll have to park the truck and only use it for special occasions when I actually need to haul something. Other than the occasional outing in the mustang convertable, this will be my everyday driver.

This is my dream car too!!! The Dodge Viper used to be my dream car, but the older I get and the more I learn about cars and technology, this has quickly become my new dream. I just can't wait to get my hands on one! The timing might be perfect though. This should be comming out (or maybe the gen 2) right around the time I graduate college with my engineering degree. Then I will actually be able to afford a new car!!!

Hey Satt,

Ahhh, another fellow college student! What's up bro? Where do you attend college?

It'll be my primary. As of right now, I don't even own a car! Or, as I prefer to say "I'm between rides." ;)

I am an Electrical Engineering student at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I am in my Junior year and I am right at the point where I HAVE TO decide whether I really want to be an electrical or switch to civil. I just can't seem to make up my mind. Electrical makes more money in the beginning, but civil seems so much more fun!

Satt, I've been an electrical engineer for 8 years (class of '00) and can't see myself doing civil. (then again, I don't know that much about it).

I can't tell you how much is open to an EE, it's an incredibly broad field. I'm currently working with digital video, audio, compression, 802.11a,b,g,n wireless transmission, and programmable logic. Many EE's end up moving over to software (can't be done vice versa ;) ). Then there's RF (that's some crazy stuff, especially if you like math), optics, or ASIC work...just to scratch the surface.

Maybe a fellow club member can rush in to defend the civil engineers out there.

---sorry all for derailing the thread a bit--

Yeah, I know there are tons of opportunities out there for EE's. I am only in my Junioor year and I allready have job offers. I have wanted to be electrical since I was an electronics technician in the Navy. Now that I have got my Associate's and working on my BSEE, I have started to get discouraged. I am not strong in Differential Equations and I am taking it for a third time. Everyone tells me that if I can't do Diff-E-Q, then I need to pick another specialty...hince me thinking of civil.

Other than math, I am ok for the most part though. I just don't know if I should keep trudging or switch to civil, which even though it's not easy, it's not as math intensive.

When I first found the V1 I wasn't looking for a new car. However I lkie to be innovative, and I imm. knew that I had to have one.

Welcome to the club meckman1!

A vehicle like this doesn't come along often. Finally, something really different!

You need a selection that says:

It's a Zen thing. . .

MarkH, I've seriously considered a vanity plate for the V1 that reads NOW ZEN.....

This is tough. This is going to be my semi-primary vehicle. It depends a lot on what I am going to be doing, the weather, etc.... My other vehicle is all-wheel drive. It'll be used when I expect passengers, shopping, moving items, and most long trips (1 week or longer). The V1 would be for Solo commuting days, casual drives, and special road trips (where I plan around the V1). I'm not sure which will work out to be my main vehicle yet, though I do expect the V1 to commute me most days.

+1!
It could be argued that I have been waiting my entire adult life for a vehicle of this nature to finally come along.

There is absolutely NO WAY I would allow a dream vehicle like this to slip through my fingers. Truly, what better commuter vehicle might exist?

I plan to use it as a commuter vehicle for the most part but will fly (I mean drive) every chance I get. This car does not fit more than 2 so as a family man I will need to have another vehicle for those times when it is more than just 2 of us going somewhere.

This is my first post. I have been following the V1 for a while now. It was found while looking for a conversion kit for my motorcycle. Thought it was cool plus the going green helped. I was looking forward to a ride on the dragon. For those that don't know about it, it's a road in North Carolina that is called the Tail of the Dragon 318 curves in 11 miles. I did get to see the video of the engine start up and wasn't impressed. Shop looked more like a garge in someones yard vice the an up to date shop.

Yep. I've seen many videos of this stretch of road. It's a favorite of bikers from all over the country. Actually, I will be getting a CanAm Spyder sometime next month (a very long story!), and I definately look forward to taking a trip down there someday to try it out.

Unfortunately, I kind of agree with you. It really did not look that great (the shop I mean). I believe Venture Vehicles is farming this work out to an outside firm. Does anybody else have anymore about this?

By the way....WELCOME TO THE CLUB!

1. FUN!
2. 136 mile daily commute! 32K miles per year! That's alot of $ in gas, even at 27.5 mpg in my Accord.

I commute to work at 3:45am just to miss the regular traffic, and so I can do 80mph with no worry at all about cops. Must be shift change time or something. Hardly any traffic.

Have always lived on the edge so to speak; with hang gliding/ultralight aircraft flying (some years ago), motorcycles (45 years), and ATV's most recently. The Venture One would sure fit my style!

First learned about the Carve One on Beyond Tomorrow. So I got on the web to see if they were available in the states. That's when I leaned about Venture Vehicles. Really liked the original body style I saw six or more months ago. With that being said, I would have a V1 with most any body style because of the way it tilts. have always wanted a motorcycle but didn't feel it was practicle.
This will be my weekly driver to work because I have an hour drive. I have often thought on the way to work how much fun this vehicle will be driving down the road.

I live in North Carolina not far from the Dragons Tail. So I will definitely take my V1 down there as soon as they are available in NC.
