Here are a few documents that I found detailing the history of the Carver, and their tilting vehicle. This is pretty interesting reading, and shows how it all came about. For FTRC old-timers, you may have already seen these documents. But I thought we needed to have a forum that would store this history in case it is ever taken off-line. I hope you enjoy reading it!

I HAVE EMBEDED THE BELOW PDF FILES DIRECTLY INTO THIS FORUM. YOU CAN SCROLL DOWN EACH FILE JUST AS YOU WOULD IN A PDF DOCUMENT. EACH FILE CONTAINS MANY PAGES. JUST USE THE SCROLL BAR ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF EACH DOCUMENT TO SEE EVERYTHING.

I have acquired a great deal of "inside information" (according to a friend of this club), about the workings of the CarverOne, and other things pertaining to Carver Europe.

About a year and a half ago I posted the above pdf documents, but I completely forgot how I did it! I now have some really nice information in pdf to post here, but need help to figure out how.

So, can somebody help me out with this? All I need to know is HOW I can EMBED a pdf document in a post just as you see it embedded it in the earlier post. I guess the MEMORY begins to go when you start to get old!

C'mon now..... That's the very first thing I thought of! But when I go into "edit" mode with the post, it freezes up, and won't let me view the raw html.

If anybody has another way of finding out, please let me know.

Thanks.

Don't know why your trying to read it as HTML??!?
{embed height=1000 src="http://flytheroadclub.com/3WheelAlignmentManual.pdf#scrollbar=true" type="application/pdf" width=800}

But this is what you did in the original post

The curly bracets {} are substitute for the < & > since the noparse thing didn't work

AZE, that's not working. I just tried that code, and it just does not work.

Anybody.......do you have the answer to this?

I think we had a very simple way
Just put the [ pdf] and [/pdf] delimiters around the location / URL of the PDF.
Remember to remove the extra space inside the first delimiter.

But I can be mistaken.

Edit:
This does not work in this forum, only at the other theewheeler fun (http://www.threewheelfun.com/modules/Jig/index.php) forum

I think it would be a good idea to ask Timon as he is the one that got the video embedded thing to work he could probably get the pdf embedded thing to work. obviously something is turned off or not turned on between the two forums.

I did find why the code above didn't work ... when I copied it and pasted the code it put in a url command inside the pdf area that got it hosed.

Well, it seems to be working now!

I just went to the new thread I created, and the pdf document is showing up fine.

Plug in content for simple PDF files? What's wrong with you guys?

It does not work for me. FF on linux wants a plugin that cannot be found.
Opera shows just empy boxes.

Why can't you simply upload those PDFs somewhere and link to them like other normal people do? Or you did with those V1 3D models.

Actually, if you looked at a couple posts above, AZE showed you the direct link. But here it is again...
