Ok we are looking for titles. We would probably like to keep things around a Flying kind of theme and we are looking for suggestions. We also would like to make things clear and can put them in the Forum FAQ area.
So we come to you the FlytheRoadClub (http://flytheroadclub.com/forums) community... speak up and let us here your ideas. :D Feel free to flesh it out with your reasoning...
We need titles for the following
Admin's
Assistant Admin's
Moderators
Members
Owners -when this happens
We can also have some special titles for Area Flight leaders.... once identified.
We can also have titles based upon posts but these will need appropriate titles for the following post level. We can also add new ones and of course change the level
<table class="tborder" id="cpform_table" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="4" cellspacing="0" width="90%"><tbody><tr align="center" valign="top"><td class="alt2" align="left">Junior Member</td> <td class="alt2">0</td> <td class="alt2" align="right">
</td> </tr> <tr align="center" valign="top"> <td class="alt1" align="left">Member</td> <td class="alt1">30</td> <td class="alt1" align="right">
</td> </tr> <tr align="center" valign="top"> <td class="alt2" align="left">Senior Member</td> <td class="alt2">100
</td></tr></tbody></table>

We need to have a special title for Venture Vehicle leadership (Ian Bruce, et al). Perhaps someone with Air Force or experience has got some good nick names we can use.

Good point Mark on Ian and Howard and any other officials from VV
... Rog is retired Air Force so when he gets a chance maybe he could lead us down the right path.
{BTW I thought Ian was code named 'Darth Vader' and Howard since he is CEO was code named Emperor Palpatine (AKA Darth Sidious)... they had originally tricked us and we thought their roles were reversed:rolleyes: }

We can vote on these ideas when we get enough responce. I'm not a pilot or x-air force. I have played some flyboy and space flight games ... but don't kill me if I got something that is rediculous ... let me know and I will fix it.
(the x y &z can be filled in for the number of posts required for this title change)

AZ,
I like your ideas for titles. Hopefully others will add to your ideas, and we can then settle on what is the best. Great job!

Good start AZE; some other's that we might consider are:
For Major Commands and Geographical areas they usually refer to the 'mifwic' (head guy/gal) as the CINC (Commander in Chief, CINCPAC [Pacific], CINCEUR [Europe], CINCSAC [Strategic Air Command], second in command is the V-CINC (Vice). Perhaps CINC-V.V. & VCINC-V.V.
The rating above Pilot and Senior Pilot is Command Pilot.
If I remember my AF organization correctly (I've been out quite a while). You start out with 'Elements', then 'Flights', then 'Squadrons', next 'Wings', then 'Groups', 'NAF' (Numbered Air Forces), then Major Commands (SAC, TAC [old, now Air Combat Command]).
Or we could adopt the Brits terms like 'Squadron Leader' etc. Not in a very creative or 'inspired' mood right now, so this will have to do.
Also the "Air Police" term was dropped decades ago and changed to "Security Police", (I believe because of the "AP" armbands that they used to wear; and everyone referred to them as "APes"). Nowadays they don't even guard the Main Gates, they use private security or Rent-A-Cops. The "SP's" patrol the flightline and have other ?duties?.

Yes, this forum is so much more 'uplifting' than waiting for the unfulfilled promises and 'commitments' of podcasts, new 'drawings', and updates from V.V. I'm 'holding off' posting on the FTR forum until 24 hours AFTER the last Update was promised.

Ground Patrol = Moderators
SP/MP never go airborne but they do patrol and keep things civil. :)
Police actually sounds a little bit off. Especially the way they are nowadays.

That sounds good too, it sounds like a job and not jerk, if you know what I mean.

Even better yet, got my vote.
Or perhaps, "Flight Controller", since I use to be an Air Traffic Controller (in another 'life').

With reference to Ian and Howard. Ian could be Air Force One Flight Commander and Howard could be Air Force One Cheif Operations Officer. Or maybe Rog could help me out they could be backwards, I am not sure who is the higher ranking!
Oh or you could make Howard (recovering Lawyer) JAG Officer of some kind!

I like "Flight Control" for moderators as well. For member's ranks, how about taking it straight from the Air Force?
