Los Angeles-based Venture Vehicles thinks its tilting, two-passenger, three-wheeled VentureOne will appeal to both environmentally conscious drivers and thrill seekers. After all, "you don't have to be boring to be green," says Venture Vehicles co-founder Howard Levine. The startup expects its plug-in hybrid vehicles, using technology licensed from a Dutch engineering firm, to get 100 miles per gallon and hit speeds up to 120 mph.
