Coolest Sportscar ever...

So this morning I'm almost at work after my usual 1 hour drive, when going by in the opposite direction I saw - for the first time ever in person - the coolest and fastest car on the planet. I just never expected to see it in Temecula. I discovered the Ariel Atom several years ago, and have been drooling over its performance ever since.
I'm hoping the VV will be almost as fun to drive at less than half the cost.

I was at Scottsdale Lotus last week for some warranty work on my Elise. They had an Ariel Atom in their showroom. I sat in it :) ... would love to take one out for a drive. This one had the eco-tech motor.

Only 900 miles. The owner bought a Nissan GTR and decided two toys was too much. This Atom may be on eBay now... ~$50K

Along with their usual assortment of Lotus cars, a few Ferrari cars, and other sports cars, they had a Spyker C8 and a Noble M400.

The Atom is very cool however I think the Caparo T1 would have to qualify as the "Coolest of all time". Check out the Top Gear video for that!...sorry I don't have the link.

Costs a fortune, crappy reliability, corners about as well as my truck and would probably invalidate my life insurance... but it was an amusing segment.

I saw one last summer at the local gas station! they were taking their ariel atom up Highway 191 Coronado trail. That thing was awesome!!!! and it just sounded mean too!!!=y:
