New club anyone?

Oh....That vehicle! Yeah, I really like it. But can you guys tell me how far along they are, and how likely it is that they will bring this into production? Are they farther along than Venture Vehicles? When do they say they will have it ready?

If the answers to all those questions are positive, than I would like to seriously look at starting a new enthusiasts club centered around that company and vehicle. But I would need a great deal of input before putting out the money.

I for one don't want a new club every time a new "interesting" vehicle comes out.
From the bulk of all the posts here or at the flytheroad, this club has never been VV only.
MultiMode (- or wait a minute - I mean revolution motors - oops I mean IBES - I mean - this company is so schizophrenic, despite the common thread they think they have but really don't, I guarantee this hydra will lose one head at some point, hopefully not the car) is the closest comparison I have seen to VV.
What are the common topics for the majority? Why not loosely keep the forum around that?
Strictly in the car space, the interest seems to be that which meets:
a) vehicles with < 4 wheels
b) vehicles with alternative fuels/engines
c) vehicles with some sort of fun factor (e.g. it leans) : a jellybean on wheels doesn't count.
d) vehicles that don't require a small mortgage to buy

IMHO I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to add a whole new section devoted to the Dagne on this site!

You know, like we have the welcome section, venture vehicles section, other discussions section, just add a section titled Dagne!

Weighin' in on new clubsite! Nah! I agree with danbucks and MM. Besides, ever since I caught on to this club, it has been like a one-stop-shopping place for info on all kinds of good stuff. I would hate to see it get separated into other sites.

I'd agree with the general consensus - no need to create a whole new website for the Dagne - a separate topic category should be sufficient. It's interesting enough to be on the radar of most of the members here (I'm not speaking for everyone mind you; I haven't gone through the hassle of contacting every single member and asking them their opinion on this!) But as long as the posts stay on topic, members who don't want to bother about the Dagne should be able to skip right over those forum postings.

Ziggy.... Thanks for the insight, and for the links.....They are very informative.

I seem to agree with most, though, in that I don't think a new enthusiasts website would be a good idea....At least not at this point. But I do think we should set up a dedicated forum within this club exclusively for this company and vehicle. They seem like a good company with an incredible car, and probably worth keeping an eye on and talking about.

I agree with Derwin, we don't need another seperate club for "Dagne" a lot of us are signed up at their website - so we can bring the news back here to share with everyone
anyway.... that's what this club is for, not just venture but all new things coming out..
And let me tell ya I've enjoyed reading all your stuff !!!

I concur with the general concensus that we don't need a new site. However, it would be nice to separate all the different vehicles and not just concentrate on V1. The Dagna will fight the road too!!!!

Hmm. right now they are operating out of a house (with alot of cars in the driveway(Google Earth)). I'm going to keep tabs on their progress, and when they ramp up and move to a real business location I'd like to swing by and inspect/take pictures. If VV drops the ball, I think this would be the next best choice for my needs.
