I wonder how long it will take for some 'geeky teenager' to come up with a HACK and post it on the internet. Or come out with a portable 'Key Reprogramer' and make a fortune!!!

make it a mechanical device instead of an electronic one and they will never figure it out. If it can be bypassed with a cell phone or computer, it's toast. Make it mechanical and they wouldn't understand the word wrench.

Yep... put a simple switch under the hood which said "fast/slow" and most kids would never speed.

I know, especially where I live, there are several kids that are gear heads! That will not work! People too often don't give these kids enough credit! They can do more then reprogram a computer! You put in a switch and they will drive around the corner, stop the car flip the switch and be down the road!
